Couples announcements for October 2008




Eddie and Doris Armer were married Oct. 14, 1972. They are celebrating 36 years of wedded bliss this month.


Ryan and Holdinsky

Mr. and Mrs. Clark Baker of Pine announce the engagement of their son Timothy Ryan to Brittany Ruth Holdinsky. The bride-elect is the daughter of John Holdinsky of Chandler and Sanya Herbold of Ventura, Calif. She is currently attending Chandler-Gilbert Community College where she is seeking a degree in education and employed with Laurens Institute for Education. The prospective groom is a 2000 Payson High School graduate and is a civil engineering student at Arizona State University. The couple have planned a November wedding and will reside in Tempe.


Campbell and Bradford

Pastor Joe and Elyse Hittle are proud to announce the marriage of their daughter, Elizabeth Bradford, to Brian Campbell, son of Pastor Charlie and Joan Campbell of Bel Air, Md. The groom is a 2004 graduate of Fallston High School in Bel Air, and the bride is a 2005 graduate of Payson High School. Both graduated from Calvary Chapel Bible College in 2007 and worked in Lima, Peru doing internship and missionary work. The couple was married on Aug. 16, 2008 and plan to reside in Payson. Mr. Campbell is employed with Ram Enterprise, Inc. and the new Mrs. Campbell is employed with Payson Dental Care.


Hardy and Runyan

Randy and Pattie White are pleased to announce the upcoming marriage of their daughter, Renee Runyan, to Mike Hardy. The wedding will take place at 4 p.m., Saturday, Oct. 18 at the Winslow chapel of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, with a reception following at the Hardy home.


Jasper and Jasper

Jack and Dorothy Jasper of Payson were married in Kingman, Ariz. Oct. 31, 1948. The couple is celebrating 60 years together next Friday. Dorothy said their Halloween wedding was the biggest trick event, but Jack says it wasn’t really a trick at all. After 60 years together it would seem it was the best treat of their lives. The Jaspers spent most of their working lives in southern California. They discovered Payson in 1982 and after several vacations spent here, they made the move to the Rim Country in Aug. 1988.



John and Donna Mortis of Blue Ridge, will mark their Golden Anniversary with a family reunion hosted by their three daughters, Debbie Beever, Laurie Watson and Natalie Chavez. The party will be Nov. 1 in Blue Ridge, and include five generations of the family including the couple’s daughters; grandchildren, Aubrian, Michael, Emily and Christina; great-grandchildren, Seth, Alice, Joshua, Isobel and Alexis; and Mrs. Mortis’ mother, Rita Willis. Relatives and friends traveling from throughout the country to celebrate with them will also join the family. John and Donna Mortis were married Nov. 1, 1958 in Bangor, Maine and are retired from the military.
