Conrad and Beverly Okerwall will celebrate 60 years of marriage Thursday, Sept. 26. The couple met on a blind date in Evanston, Ill. After many years in the advertising/art business in Chicago, they retired to Payson in 1988. They have served on the boards of the Zane Grey Cabin and Museum, Payson Helping Payson, Library Friends, Payson Art League, Rim Country Literacy and St. Paul’s Episcopal Church Vestry. They love Payson’s small-town atmosphere, weather and their many good friends. Conrad now shows his western paintings at Down the Street Art Gallery as well as Granny’s Attic. They will celebrate with their daughter, Sue Ann, from San Antonio, Texas, later in October.
