Carole and Wayne Donnay celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary on Feb. 3, 2014. They were married at Langley Air Force base in Virginia in 1954. Wayne served with the 5th Air Force in Korea and Japan in 1952. They have three daughters and a son, five grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. Carole and Wayne were born in Minnesota where they raised their family, fishing and camping in the summer and snowmobiling in the winter. They owned a precision metal fabricating company doing contract work for the computer industry. Carole and Wayne were both involved in competitive archery and both shot a perfect 300 PAA round. In 1972 they sold the business and moved to Arizona. Wayne retired from Allied Signal Aerospace in 1998 and built a house in Payson where they now live. Wayne led a hiking group for 12 years and is involved in several non-profit organizations in Payson.
Ron and Diane Baran celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on Jan. 18, 2014. The couple was married in New Jersey in 1964 and raised two children, Ron Jr. and Laura. They moved to Mesa, Ariz. in 1984 and started a business called Baran Enterprises and upon retirement moved to Payson in 2005. Family members include four grandchildren and one great-grandson.
Ritter and Watson
Laura Ritter married Bryan Watson, both formerly of Payson and now of Scottsdale, Jan. 2, 2014 in Mesa. The bride is the daughter of Steve and Judy Perham of Payson and the groom is the son of Mark and Debbie Manelli of Scottsdale. The new Mrs. Watson attended Grand Canyon University. Mr. Watson served with the U.S. Coast Guard and was employed by the Payson Police Department for six years. Honor attendants Lindsay LaPre´ and Jesse Davis; bridesmaids Monica Williamson, Holly Perham and Judy Perham; groomsman Randy Perham. Her son, Titus Ritter escorted the bride down the aisle. The bride’s father, Steve, officiated.
