Other news of interest:
Thursday, April 25th: Rally against Medicaid Expansion at the State Capitol, 11 am. Americans for Prosperity ask us to join them and other groups to stand in favor of health care freedom. If you are interested in going to the Rally, call me to carpool down to the capitol, leaving the Theater parking lot at 9 am. Write both Senators and House members to oppose Medicaid Expansion and to oppose the Hospital Bed tax. There are options to Medicaid expansion that will not entangle us in Federal Bureaucracy. The State Budget cannot be prepared until this issue is resolved. The Counties, Towns, and School districts cannot make their plans until the State Budget is resolved. We must sacrifice our time and gas money to oppose this! Thanks for your participation in any way you can, Shirley 468-1131
Thursday, April 25th: Transition Town Payson presentation at Gila Community College, room 301, 6:00 pm. Several of our members are needed to monitor this meeting that focuses on “In the face of climate change and resource depletion, Transition Town Payson’s mission is to encourage people to work together to build an environmentally resilient community”. Sounds good, and Payson already has citizens working to be good stewards of our environment/economy. Why do we need this international group?
