They are here now, in Payson. Officially out in the day of light. I highly recommend you closely examine the "Transition Movement" web sites. This is an amalgamation of Ecological extremists from all over the world. The intent is establish organized cells within both large and small communities across the USA. The agenda appears to be to politicly influence local town governments into accepting man made global climate change, anti oil/coal policy, local grown organic food sources etc. (Vegans) The Transition Town(s) organization also appears to be well funded under the umbrella of the world organization. Buyer of this tripe beware. What's next for Payson, crystal aura emersion and one way rides for sale in the energy vortex located at the Payson airport? Very slick PR and media packaging to get you to buy into it. We take over your village.........
Have you really read all the Transition sites? If so your wife must have you locked in a padded room somewhere. (:

Actualy Pat, I have a 50ft chain around my ankle so I can still perform honey do's in the front and rear yards. I have glossed the USA Town Transition web site, and the world web site. I have had a cursory look at the new Payson web site. They have established cells in Pima County and other communities/cities-towns in AZ and all across the USA. Look at their map and click on the States of your choice. Then the other Country's. Reminds me of the new TV series, The Following. It appears to me a re-packaged 1960's Hippie Collective Commune ideology on a Global scale. The Earth is now called "Gaia". Man is hurting Gaia with his technology and quest for more oil, gas, wood which they claim is near depleation. Man is also resposible for climate change and bad processed food. So you better eat your own home grown veggies, give up meat. I suggest you buy a loin cloth to wear (not animal fur, heaven forbid) ) and you will fit right in with them. LOL.........(:
I have not seen the "transition" sites, but I will say that most places would do well to even come close to Payson. People all over do eat "processed" food (remember Soilit Green), which is not nutritious, lots of Paysonites do grow a garden, and are starting to recycle trash, and are considerate of water use. The people here are concerned about the forest and keeping them clean, and a lot of us hunt for our meat, and keep chickens. Like it or not Payson is already pretty cool and ahead of the "Hippy Movement." However, I seriously hope we can avoid the Loin Cloth.
After looking over their web site I wonder just what Astro Gardening is. It does sound odd.
