In this article it was stated, the council says cheaper outside contractors can handle his duties (Fire Marshall) when it comes to building and fire inspections.
Have you ever heard the saying 'you get what you pay for?'
Cheaper isn't usually as good. What about the rest of the things he does?
Who is going to do all the paper work and continuing education and do any of them have his qualifications?
Are the outside contractors going to be paid by the hour or so many dollars per inspection?
THINK council members before you make your final decision.
Payson has never had it so good as since you have had Chief Demasi and Mr. Lockhart.
So a few business owners have been upset because they weren't up to code and were supposed to fix things.
Who was doing inspections when they were built? Evidently someone who didn't know what they were doing or maybe the builder or owner was one of the good ole boys. I think those days are over or should be.
Am I the only one who cares about the safety of buildings and fires and the mistakes the council makes?
You care more for the assistants that are being hired in the offices?
Lets be safe from fire and crime first.
