I do not know Sgt. Garvin, but in my opinion he should have been fired not demoted.
He was using equipment paid for by tax payers money to carry on his affairs.
How can you receive sexually revealing photos of someone which don't expose any "private parts"?
If the article in the paper is true, he was unethical and immoral.
He knew the woman was still married even tho seperated.
What her husband was doing has nothing to do with what Garvin did.
Law enforcement should set a good example. Yes they are human like the rest of us, but they are supposed to be protecting the public not breaking laws or being immoral and unethical.
I have had two experiences with police officers here in Payson at my homes and believe me they were both scarey.
After reading the incident report Garvin was present at one of them, but I could not pick him out of a lineup.
No wonder the public is losing respect for and not trusting officers.
