I haven't been to a Payson football game this year as yet, but last year everytime I went it seemed like there were more visitor parents and fans attending than home town fans.
Where are the parents of these kids and aren't they interested or do they care what the kids are doing?
There has to be at least one parent out there that could post on here about the games.
There has only been one home game for varsity so far this year. I believe that there are only 4 home games this year. I did attend that game and it was attended by alot of the parents and community members. I do not have a child that plays football, but I do have one that is in the band so we go as a family to the games to support the football players and the band. Hope to see you there this Friday Homecoming against Fountain Hills.
I am so glad someone responded to my post.
What are all the racers doing on Main St. except causing a traffic jam?
Why is Oak street shut off at Main.
Don't we have enough fields and parks for kids to race on?
BTW, the Longhorns won in probably the most exciting homecoming football game I have personally witnessed at Longhorn Stadium. By far the biggest paying attendance we have had in many a year.
I agree it was the best game in a while and the attendance was excellent.
Grandson Justin came in second in the main race at the Dwarf Car Races at Manzanita Raceway Sat. night. Started 11th.
Came in third in the heat race to get into the main. Over 30 Dwarf Cars last night.
The wildest night of Dwarf racing I have ever attended. Three cars flipped over before six laps were done. I think there were 5 flips before it was over. No one was hurt. These are 15 lap races for those of you who don't know.
Yes, Dwarf Car Racing is a sport!
If you should see a trailer that hauls Dwarf Cars double decker, Please call Peter D Sports, the builder of Justin's race car. His building was broken into last week and a trailer was stolen. What is with these people that want to steal Dwarf car equipment? Sorry for Peter D, but am glad it wasn't one of the weeks Justin's car was on that trailer. Dean, these last two posts were for you, noone else on here cares about Justins racing etc.
Dwarf Cars are the black sheep of the racing world, but go carts get on tv a lot.
I found out that with go carts a lot of it is staged as well as boat drag races on tv. I will have to tell you about the boat drags off line as it would take to long and to much space on here.
I heard Dave Crowell sold both of his Dwarf cars and is going to get one like Justin's. May be just a rumor.
I don't think there are titles or bills of sale on race cars even tho they do have ID numbers on them. I am probably the only person that asked for a bill of sale on a Modified race car I bought and it is for sale!
Sorry I just realized you said Manzanita.
My confusion Sorry
Was that race in Showlow, Prescott or in Phx. I love going to the Showlow races my boys think its the best, but they like to see the crashes. It is kind of strange how that is. Glad Justin did well and I also heard that Dave had his cars for sale. You Have a Modified For Sale?
I think the races up north are over. Justin is point leader! The Nationals are at Manzanita in Nov. I think.
Yes, I do have a modified for sale.
I bought it for Justin as he is a spoiled grandchild! His brother was going to race the Dwarf car and then Justin changed his mind.
I want to sell it so I can get Dwight (his brother and mechanic) a Dwarf car.
Grandkids are so much more fun than kids, even when they are in their 30's.
Your boys would have loved the races Sat. night with all the crashes.
