San Carlos Resident Willie Williams Banished From The City of Globe

KQSS has been following the case of 35-year-old San Carlos resident Willie Williams. After being arrested in August of 2013 on Aggravated Assault and Burglary charges, Gila County Superior Court Judge Robert Duber essentially banished Williams from the city of Globe.

KQSS attended the hearing when, as a part of his release conditions, Duber told Williams that he was not to enter the City of Globe unless it was to come to court, meet with his attorney, or for a scheduled job interview somewhere on the other side of Globe.

This is Williams’ first and only criminal charge in the State of Arizona. Williams tells KQSS that the facts don’t support the charges and he intends on going to trial.

Williams says he believes the judge has banished him from the city of Globe because he is black.

The Arizona Civil Liberties Union is reviewing the case.

It is a good thing Duber is retiring but see what stupid things he will do before his retirement goes into effect. What happened to us living in a free country? Either put him in jail or he is a free man to go where he pleases.
