(This is community organizing at it's finest.)
There has NEVER been anyone in the White House at any time who has created such an army of staffers whose sole duties are the facilitation of the First Lady's social life. One wonders why she needs so much help, at taxpayer expense, when even Hillary, only had three; Jackie Kennedy one; Laura Bush one; and prior to Mamie Eisenhower social help came from the President's own pocket.
Note: This does not include makeup artist Ingrid Grimes-Miles, 49, and “First Hairstylist” Johnny Wright, 31, both of whom traveled aboard Air Force One to Europe to quoff her hair and make her pretty.
    This is an outrage!!!.

friends…..these salaries add up to six million, three hundred sixty four thousand dollars ($6,364,000) for the 4 years of office????? and we are in a recession????? well….most of us are. i guess it's ok to spend wildly when it's not your own money?????
But they want to cut defense spending?

    So what ?
Go back and check on some of the rest of the First ladies expenses.
I would bet you voted for McCain and his wife stole drugs for her own use that were to be sent to other countries. How much did you print about that?

Pat, surely you jest. In no way can you justify the expenditures listed above. Those are your dollars and mine. I don't know about ALL the previous administrations. I doubt the abuse was this outrageous, but if so, we the taxpayers should get a refund from all of them no matter who they are or were. It's BS pure and simple. These people are in charge NOW. The information is NOW. The ABUSE is now. The end of it should be NOW and for the future office holders. She holds no official office that requires us to cough up $6+ million for her private social life. She can make her own society dates.

And Pat, I have no love loss for Mc Cain. His days are numbered inmho. He is just another professional politician for life (if we let him) living off the public dole. Both houses of Congress are full of them. New blood, new ideas, term limits for all.

    I do not jest.
History repeats itself. Look up the costs of former first ladies and take into account all the rising costs of everything.

Once again, false info from internet “sources.” Here is the correction from www.truthorfiction.com:
First Lady Michelle Obama has a larger staff than previous first ladies-Fiction!

    Summary of the eRumor:
This is an email that contains a list of 22 staff members under First Lady Michelle Obama along with their salaries. The email alleges that “There has never been anyone in the White House at any time that has created such an army of staffers whose sole duties are the facilitation of the First Lady's social life.” It also says that former First Lady Hillary Clinton had three, Jackie Kennedy had one and Laura Bush only had one staff member.

    The Truth:
The allegations that former first ladies from previous administrations had smaller staffs is Fiction! - at least in the cases of Laura Bush and Hillary Clinton.

    http://www.factcheck.org/2009/08/mich…

Q: Does First Lady Michelle Obama have an “unprecedented” number of staffers?

A: A spokeswoman for the first lady says that Michelle Obama currently has a staff of 24. That may indeed be the largest of any first lady, but Hillary Clinton, with 19 staffers, and Laura Bush with at least 18 and perhaps more, weren’t far behind.

So with 24 it appears that she IS in the lead!

I have found that web sites such as snopes.com are politicly predisposed in their explanations of what is true or not. No first lady past or present, needs a staff like that at taxpayer expense and you can't justify it, period. I authorize you both to pay my tax portion to subsidize it.
