An interesting bit of information about government run healthcare. A very close friend of mine has been receiving e-mails on my computer from her cousin in Canada. She relates how it was discovered that she has a brain tumor & that she had been scheduled to have an operation last Friday to remove it. But there had been a motor vehicle accident & one of the passengers involved had been rushed to Edmonton to the hospital where her operation was scheduled. That operation was cancelled & re-scheduled for this coming Friday. That too has been cancelled & re-scheduled for Friday February 5. But she was informed that it would be cancelled again if there were any more problems that arose.
Now it seems to me that a brain tumor is a pretty dire emergency & should be taken care of immediately. Apparently she is in a great deal of pain. If the problem is that there is a lack of room at that one hospital, shouldn’t the venue be changed or if the surgeon was too busy shouldn’t another one be assigned? Or perhaps it could be her age. Maybe Sarah Palin's comment about death panels was correct. Under our present system of health care in the states, that would be done, even in the charity hospitals.
So I guess my observation is that Pelosi, Reed, OBama care is totally against the citizens of this country and extremely anti-American and just another way to get more control of my money & life.
Even though it appears that the proposed health care legislation is not going to be passed into law, the above mentioned legislators have vowed that health care legislation will become law one way or another. Just another reason to bend over & grab your socks.
