Two Payson residents, Daniel Barrick, 40, and a 16-year-old girl, were treated and released from Payson Regional Medical Center Thursday afternoon following a three-car collision on Highway 87 at Houston Mesa Road.

Doug Howald, 66, of Strawberry, escaped injury after his Ford Ranger, heading north on Highway 87, collided with a small pickup truck driven by Barrick at about 4 p.m. Howald said he was wearing his seat belt.

A third car, occupied by the 16-year-old and two other Payson teen-agers, was heading south on Highway 87. It received minor damage when the pickup spun out of control after colliding with Howald's vehicle and hit it.

Information about possible citations was not available from the police department before the Roundup's press time Friday.
