Doctors Staying In Same Place With Same Insurance

I would like to take this opportunity to address and clarify some issues regarding the closing of Scottsdale Healthcare FamilyCare Payson.

First of all, my thanks to the staff of the FamilyCare Payson office. The current staff have chosen to remain steadfast in their dedication and loyalty. They are working long hours to assure the continuity of care for our patients and to provide support for our physicians. They are appreciated for their efforts in difficult times.

Secondly, I would like to clarify the status of Dr. Lisa York. She will not be continuing employment with Arizona First Medical Center. She has chosen to begin her maternity leave Dec. 1 due to the impending changes. Her employment status is unknown at this time and as the end of her maternity leave approaches, she will notify her patients via letter and advertising of her practice status. In the meantime, her patients can continue to see the remaining physicians at FamilyCare or they can choose one of the other fine physicians in the community.

The final issues that deserve clarification are the practice location and insurance contract status. Doctors Cuthbertson, Vandruff and LeSueur will continue to practice at the FamilyCare location at 111 W. Cedar Lane. Their insurance contracts will transfer with their employment to Arizona First Medical Center.

We thank the community for their patience as we move forward with this transition. We anticipate some challenges as we consolidate services and location but the goal is to provide a solid, community based health system for our patients and to continue to provide the quality of care they have come to expect.
