Haught Offered Genuine Apology During Sentencing

This letter is in response to Ms. Vanessa Beckham's letter. In it she stated that she would like a sincere apology from Mr. Haught. It is unfortunate you couldn't have been in the courtroom for Mr. Haught's sentencing.

If you would have been there, as I was, you would have heard Mr. Haught's genuine apology to the entire Cooper family. I heard Mr. Haught say he was sorry for the events of that tragic evening and that he had been praying for the Cooper family even more than he had been praying for his own family.

Although Mr. Haught's apology can never bring Mr. Cooper back, I hope it brings you some comfort as you grieve.
