Community Turning Out To Help Fire Victims

The volunteer spirit is still alive in Rim country! Immediate efforts have already begun to come to the aid of the Crouts, who lost everything of a material nature in their tragic early morning fire on Wednesday, March 10.

We would like to keep the community informed so that they might be involved in restoring the Crouts' lives to a respectable normality. Please keep reading for future updates.

Brian Klimuck of TK Masonry Inc. and Dirt Works has volunteered to coordinate the clean-up and removal of loose materials. His number is (520) 517-1811. The immediate need is for individuals who have even an hour or two to meet the Crouts and help them remove the burned material at 303 S. Clark St. (east off of Beeline onto Bonita, then north on Clark).

We also need a business to volunteer to remove the two vehicles destroyed in the fire (one car and one bus) and the mobile itself. We will be happy to mention all businesses who have donated services on the Crout's behalf.

Volunteers have also set up an account in the name of Vernon and Frances Crout for the charitable contributions of the community at the Bank One Payson office. The account number is 3011-8886.

Choo Choo's Restaurant in Pine has set out a collection can for that community. If any other businesses would like to volunteer as a donation site, please call Tim Miles at 474-2096 or fax 474-2010, and a can will be brought to you. We also wish to thank the following for their monetary contributions: First American Title, Payson Real Estate and Investment, American Red Cross and the Women's Council of Realtors.

Thanks for the help and keep up the good work, Rim country! Please consider using the friendly businesses that are volunteering their efforts to help the Crouts. Stay tuned!
