Rodney Cronk, the Gila County Sheriff's deputy charged with driving under the influence Halloween night, after wrecking his motorcycle, filed his plea of not guilty to the misdemeanor office Monday in Payson Justice Court.
"Mr. Cronk did not appear in court," said his attorney, Michael Slovek. "His initial appearance was taken care of by paperwork."
Cronk was placed on administrative leave for a few weeks following the accident on Highway 260 near Star Valley, but has since been put back to work on a limited basis.
Cronk's next court appearance has been set for 2 p.m. April 13 in Payson Justice Court.
