Don Harris, public information officer with the Arizona Department of Insurance, said his department is encouraging Premier enrollees to get other HMO coverage as soon as possible.
Harris said the Health Care Financing Administration, which administers Medicare, will terminate its contract with Premier at the end of the month.
He said Premier has a policy with a re-insurer for $10 million to pay for claims from Nov. 16 forward.
"It's over when the $10 million runs out," Harris said, "and I think it'll run out before 60 days."

In addition to examining the Medicare options and the differences among plans, "Making Medicare Choices" explains the advantages and trade-offs of each type of plan.
The information for beneficiaries includes Medicare rights and how to change plans and lists information resources for Medicare options and the Medicare program.
