Please allow us to expound in a general way on the veterans' program "Wings of Eagles" presented at the Payson High School auditorium on Nov. 11.
The entire program can be described in three words: Excellent! Excellent! Excellent! We cannot express how gratifying it was to see the young people integrated and taking important roles in the program.
We were particularly impressed by the Payson Choral Society presentation. As we sat there in the auditorium listening to this outstanding group, we noticed the grey heads on many of the members. But wait! What is this? There at the end of the second row was a familiar person! Yes, it had to be. There was our next-door neighbor. "So what," you say. Here she is, singing with Payson's best: Ashley Darling, a student at Rim Country Middle School, a young lady who is currently an eighth-grade teenager. Congratulations, Payson Choral Society on your performance; congratulations, Ashley, for being one of Payson's best. We hope to see more of you in the future.
Many, many thanks to everyone who took part in the program and a special acknowledgment to those responsible for putting it all together.
Mr. and Mrs. Kelly Day, Payson
