Two Injured In Collision With Cow


Two people were taken by medical helicopter to Scottsdale Osborn Hospital Friday after their car, which was traveling north, collided with a cow on the Beeline Highway near the Gisela turnoff.

Bob and Susan Murillo, ages 49 and 51 had to be extricated from their Chevy Camaro after their car hit the cow just after 9 p.m. and careened into the median.

Payson Fire Lt. Tom Fife, reading from a report taken at the scene, said one of the patients was brought to the Valley hospital by Life Rescue, stationed locally, and the other was air-evacuated by a Valley-based medical helicopter.

Both Bob and Susan Murillo were treated at Scottsdale Osborn Hospital and released Monday.
