Vandals broke into Dr. Harold Rush's dental office in the 300 block of Airport Road last weekend and caused extensive damage to the dentist's furnishings and office equipment, police said.

Two people broke into the office Friday or Saturday and doused the computers, copiers, typewriters and other electronic equipment with water and fire extinguisher powder from the office's water cooler and two fire extinguishers, Payson Detective Steve Johnson said.

"It's apparent that two people were involved from the shoe prints left in the fire extinguisher powder that was sprayed all over the floor," he said. "The shoe sizes were 11 to 11 1/2 and 8 to 8 1/2."

The vandals also snatched the antique razor blades that were on display in the front lobby and slashed the furniture cushions in the waiting room and several exam rooms, the detective said. A damage estimate has not yet been established by the police department, he said.

Police encourage anyone with information about this crime to call detective Johnson at 474-5177.
