Payson resident Carol Ann Moody, author of "Hell in Heaven's House -- a Mother's Story" will appear Thursday on the Montel Williams Show "Free to Rape and Kill Again" on cable channel 13 and satellite station WWOR.
Moody said she and her daughter, the rape victim in Moody's book, were among four guests on what she called "an extremely powerful show."
Moody was invited to appear on the show after she sent the show's producers an e-mail about her daughter's story of rape and the aftermath of the crime.
Moody said she told them, "We have a story that needs to be told."
The other guests on the show also are victims of crimes who share their stories, which include tales of a rapist and the killer of an 8-year-old boy who were both released from prison to become repeat offenders.
"I really think people should see this, especially the judges," Moody said. "Prosecutors put them away and judges let them out."
Moody said she has sent 400 copies of her book to sexual-assault and rape-crisis centers around the world.
"I'm on a mission," she said. "I've taken it wherever it takes me."
Moody and her daughter, who lives in Florida, will travel to Washington, D.C. this summer to speak to FBI task force agents who research violent and repetitive crimes.
"The only ones who really know what happens are the rapists and their victims," she said.
Moody also is planning to start a rape survivors support group in Payson in May.
