Last chance to sign up for Youth T-Ball & Girls Softball

We are currently accepting late registration for youth T-Ball and girls softball on a first-come, first-served basis. The T-Ball program is for boys and girls who are ages 5-7 as of August 1, 2000. The youth softball program is for girls who are ages 8 -15 as of August 1, 2000. The fee is $25 per child for each program. Season begins June 5, 2000.

Youth Soccer

There are a limited number of late registration slots available in the 10-12 year-old division. The fee is $25 per child. Games will be played on Fridays and Saturdays in April and May. Participants will be placed on teams only where space permits, and on a first-come, first-served basis.

"Scrambled" Eggs

Mark your calendars for the annual Parks & Recreation/Payson Elks Lodge Easter Egg Scramble, April 22, at Green Valley Park amphitheater. Weather permitting, children ages 8 and younger will have a chance to fill their baskets with nearly 5,000 colorful eggs filled with candy and prize certificates for Easter baskets, stuffed animals, coloring books and other toys. The age groups and times are as follows:

- 9 a.m. ages 7 & 8

- 9:15 a.m. ages 5 & 6

- 9:30 a.m. ages 3 & 4

- 9:45 a.m. ages 0 2

-10 a.m. special needs of all ages

Fishing Pole Loaner Program

Why not take advantage of the spring weather and this free fishing pole loaner program at Green Valley Park?

The poles and mini tackle boxes are available at the Parks & Recreation office, 1000 W. Country Club Drive. You must be 18 years and older to check out the fishing poles, but anglers of all ages may use them.
