Michael Molsberry, 36, a resident of Payson, was arrested Tuesday afternoon by Payson police officers bearing a federal FBI warrant for the suspected robbery of a Valley bank.

"He was at his parents' (Payson) residence, which is where we served the warrant," said Payson Police Sgt. Tom Tieman, who was one of two officers who made the arrest.

Molsberry was arrested without incident, Tieman added.

At press time, the Phoenix FBI agent handling the case was on vacation and not available for comment. But according to FBI special agent Marc Dallacroce, the robbery that is under investigation took place Dec. 6 at a Bank One in Sun City.

The amount of money taken by the robber was not disclosed by Bank One, Dallacroce said, "which is pretty much the policy of all banks in this situation."

The day following his arrest, Molsberry was transported by FBI agents to the Valley.

"A bank robbery would be a violation of Title 18, Section 21-13AD. (Molsberry) has already received his initial appearance before the magistrate," Dallacroce said, adding that the suspect is now "most likely" being held in the Maricopa County Jail.
