Rodeo Coordinator The Force Behind The Project

From a volunteer's perspective, I want to give my heartfelt thanks to Barry Cardinael.

In looking at the new multi-event center, I remember the first time I saw the land covered with trees, bushes and debris with no road into it. Now there is a new black-topped road, bleachers up, lights in, fence up and dirt brought in from the Rumsey Park arena.

None of this would have happened if it hadn't been for the dedication of Barry and concerned people in this town.

Every group needs a leader, and Barry Cardinael was the force that kept all of us focused to get the rodeo grounds moved and workable. Well, we're practically there!

We will be having the spring rodeo at the new multievent center May 20 and 21.

Thank you, Barry, for all the many, many hours of your hard work, dedication and friendship. I hope this town will find a way to keep you and your family in Payson. It will certainly be the town's loss if you leave.
