Residents of Pine and Strawberry will have a chance to meet with Arizona Corporation Commission members Jan. 24 to discuss Pine and Strawberry's water supply.
The commissioners will discuss efforts to find new sources of water and the area's continued moratorium on new water meters for residential and commercial lots. They also will discuss the ACC's continued regulation of private water companies and Gila County's water infrastructure needs.
Robert Hardcastle, president of Brooke Utilities, a major water supplier in the area, said he had no comment on the upcoming discussion.
The open forum will be held from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Jan. 24 in the Pine Strawberry Elementary School gymnasium.
