Although I am neutral regarding the proposed affordable housing development near the airport, I felt some sense of relief following the recent town council vote to the extent that it revealed that the council is not totally under the control of the growth-at-any-cost forces, apparently Payson's most powerful and aggressive special-interest group at the present time.
