The best advice from Payson school officials is for sports fans to purchase passes for the upcoming athletic seasons.
"They really do save a lot of money," PHS Athletic Director Dave Bradley said.
For the upcoming football, volleyball, basketball and wrestling seasons, family passes are currently being sold for $86. Individual adult passes are available for $42. Individual student passes are $32. The passes are good for admittance to all athletic contests except post season play involving regional and state tournaments.
Individual gate admission to varsity games next school year will be $4 for adults and $3 for students. For jayvee games admittance is $3. Tickets to freshman games are $2.
Tickets for PHS sporting events are available at the high school office.
For students participating on PHS athletic teams next school year, a $40 per sport fee will be assessed.
For those participating in three sports, the fee is $100. Officials have set a $100 per family maximum expenditure.
Sports practices at PHS begin Aug. 7. The exact times and locations of football, cross country, boys and girls soccer and volleyball practices will be announced early next week.
Before a student/athlete can participate in any practice, he or she must have a current physical and parent consent on file in Bradley's office.
