Dora Jackson, 83, of Payson, died May 27, 2000, in Payson. She was born Oct. 14, 1916, in Waldron, Ark. Mrs. Jackson had lived in Payson for a year. Prior to moving to Payson, she lived in Sedona, Ariz. for more than 26 years.
She retired in 1984 from Indian Gardens Market, where she was a store bookkeeper for 26 years. She also worked as a waitress and housekeeper.
Survivors include one son, Michael Parker and his wife, Toni, of Upper Round Valley, Ariz.; one stepson, Wesley Jackson of Sedona, Ariz.; three daughters, Faye Thread of Joseph City, Ariz., Ruth Allen and her husband, Bill, of Cordes Lakes, Ariz., Jean Henderson and her husband, Bob, of Redding, Calif.; one brother, Clifford Shadd, of Checotah, Okla.; 20 grandchildren; and many great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by sons, Larry and Marshall Parker, daughter Patsy Rees and husband, B.F. Jackson.
Graveside services were held May 31 at Sedona Community Cemetery.
