Adult Coed Softball League:


Registration for the Spring Coed Softball League ends this Friday, March 17. Recreation and competitive divisions will be offered as long as a minimum of four teams sign up for each division. The fee is $200 per team, which includes a tournament. Awards will be given for the tournament only. Games begin in April.

Charlotte's Web:

You won't want to miss this charming production of the children's classic "Charlotte's Web," Friday, March 24 at Payson High School Auditorium. Show times are 5 p.m. and 7 p.m. After each performance, audience members can meet the cast and get autographs at a cookies & milk reception with the Phoenix Theatre Cookie Company. Face painting and prize drawings will also be available. Tickets are $5 per person, and all proceeds will benefit the Payson Library. Tickets are available at Parks & Recreation, the Payson Library and Payson Sports.

5th & 6th Grade Boys' & Girls' Basketball Tournaments:

These tournaments are open to all teams, local and out-of-town, that want to participate. Tournament date is Saturday, April 1 for both tournaments. Registration is $100 per team and is limited to the first 12 teams to sign up in both divisions. Registration deadline is Friday, March 24.

Youth T-Ball & Girls' Softball Registration:

Registration for the youth T-Ball and girls' softball programs will be held from April 17 to 28. The T-Ball program is for boys and girls, ages 5-7 as of Aug. 1, 2000. The girls' softball program is for girls, ages 8 -15 as of Aug. 1, 2000. Registration is $20 per child for each program. Season begins June 5, 2000.

Fishing Pole Loaner Program:

Why not take advantage of the spring weather and this free fishing pole loaner program at Green Valley Park? The poles and mini tackle boxes are available at the Parks & Rec. office, 1000 W. Country Club Drive. You must be 18 years and older to check out the fishing poles, but anglers of all ages may use them. The program is sponsored by Arizona Game and Fish.
