I am now ashamed to be a white person.
After I read the article in the Friday, April 28 Roundup, my immediate reaction to the comments made at the Tonto Apache Land Exchange meeting cannot be printed.
How can anyone ever feel good about calling the Native American (community) a"slum." We robbed them of their rights, and now we have the gall to call them names and degrade them?
Whoever these people are, they evidently didn't fight in wars like I did. Now I am ashamed that I fought for the rights of those American people who feel they are better than anyone else in a country where all people are equal.
I feel Native Americans can probably teach the "White Man" how to become a human being.
