Rim country events, festivals and celebrations have changed over the years to satisfy the community's changing fancies.
Festivals which are defined by Webster as times of feasting, celebration or entertainment have multiplied to include musical, cultural and athletic events, as well as down-home celebrations of our community's heritage.
We now have a business showcase, more 5K runs and walks, and a Miss Rodeo Arizona pageant. But old favorites such as the State Championship Old Time Fiddlers' Contest, Fourth of July fireworks and the World's Oldest Continuous Rodeo continue to be the staples of entertainment in the Rim country.
Payson still holds the title of "Festival Capital of Arizona." Check the following calendar of events to find out where and when you can feast, celebrate and be entertained.
