If it's snowing, I should be shopping. All this snow reminds me of Christmas and it's fast approaching. Now that the goblins have hidden their masks, attention turns to the wish lists.
The Pine-Strawberry Arts and Crafts Guild is holding a holiday boutique every Saturday and Sunday through Nov. 19, plus the weekend after Thanksgiving Friday, Nov. 24, Saturday, Nov. 25 and Sunday, Nov. 26.
The boutique features handcrafted arts, crafts and decorative gifts for Christmas. Fall decorative items also will be available. Boutique hours are 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. in the guild room of the Pine-Strawberry Community Center on Highway 87 in Pine.

Tellabration is a celebration of the art of storytelling. Storyteller and local resident Don Doyle will be the featured performer for Tellabration 2000 at 2 p.m. and 7 p.m. Nov. 18 at the Pine Cultural Hall.
Doyle also is mentoring two students for the event Payson High School freshman Rebec-ca Ross and Pine-Strawberry eighth-grader Tyler Williams. The cost for the 2 p.m. performance for families and children is $3. Children under age 5 get in free. Tickets for the 7 p.m. adult performance are $5 each.
P-S Food Pantry
The P-S Food Pantry is trying to stock up for the winter to help local families that fall on hard times. Nonperishable food items can be dropped off at the post office. To make a monetary donation, recommend a family for assistance, or organize a community group food drive, call Sharon Balentine at 476-2503.
