William Leroy Meek, 75, of Payson, died Nov. 24, 2000, in Scottsdale. He was born Aug. 5, 1925, in Windber, Pa.
Mr. Meek was a U.S. Air Force veteran of World War II, and a member of the Masonic Lodge and the American Legion. He also was an avid bowler at Payson Bowl.
Survivors include two sons, Rick Meek of Newport, Wash. and Barry Meek of Apple Valley, Calif.; one daughter, Byllie Meek of Henderson, Nev.; two stepchildren, Lynne Wayrauch of Inverness, Fla. and Steven Nickola of Mesa, Ariz.; two brothers, Orrin Meek of Johnstown, Pa. and Marlin Meek of New Port Ritchey, Fla.; two sisters, Mary Seese of Phoenix and Sarah Rusmisell of Buckhannon, W. Va.; 14 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Walter E. and Mary Hoffman Meek.
Memorial services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 30, at the Payson United Methodist Church.
