Gila County Property Taxes Out Of Control

When the mines closed in Globe, I remember a quote from the powers that control Gila County: "We will not pass on lost taxes to Gila County property owners."

This sounds like a quote from one of our past U.S. presidents: "Read my lips."

We have lived in Pine for the past three years (and) we have had property tax increase all three years, but this last increase was the mother of all. As retirees, we cannot afford to live in Gila County.

Another factor that helped us to decide to relocate is the HMO coverage, of which there is none, and the medi-gap coverage is in the high-dollar range.

So, you people in control of the allocation of property taxes, spend my share wisely, you won't get anymore from us.
