My letter is concerning (businesses) discriminating against teens.
Recently a friend and I were browsing in (a store) while her mom was shopping. An employee came up to us and asked if we were looking for something. We replied no, and she promptly asked us to leave unless we were going to purchase something.
She saw us as potential shoplifters, but the thought of stealing never crossed our minds.
I think teens in Payson are being stereotyped. Give us a chance to prove we're responsible before you label us as shoplifters.
