The main entrance into Rumsey Park near the Rumsey No. 1 ballfield will be closed during the construction of the Payson Public Library and it will remain closed "through most of the summer, probably until September when construction is expected to be finished," Town Engineer LaRon Garrett said.
With the warm weather approaching, Rumsey Park is expected to become a busy center of activity.
Therefore, the town installed a temporary roadway access for the park on the north side of Payson Parkway, just west of McLane Road.
The Rumsey Park access near the swimming pool and multi-use field also will remain open.
