Editor:

On behalf of the Northern Gila County Genealogical Society, I would like to express our gratitude to the Payson Roundup and staff for your many notices and articles that bring visibility to our efforts.

We would also like to thank the citizens of Payson for their very generous donations and support of our rummage sale and silent auction Friday and Saturday, Aug. 3 and 4, at 302 E. Bonita. This is the address of our planned new library, when we obtain the funds to begin construction. We feel very fortunate to have this site, which is very accessible to the public.

We will open our sale next Friday and Saturday, Aug. 10 and 11 because we still have considerable merchandise available. With so many nice things, it was hard to see everything at one visit, and several new items have been added, since the beginning of the sale.

Thus far, we have raised more than $3,000 with this effort, which gets us one step closer to the $50,000 we need to begin construction.
