It'll take an 18-hole playoff to decide who'll carry the banner as the Payson Women's Golf Association President's Cup champion.
That playoff, to be contested sometime this week, will pit two longtime PWGA standouts against one another.
Laura Meyocks and Mary Jones dead-knotted for the president's title during a two-day tournament held early last week. Both finished the fray with 142.
Trailing the duo in third place with a 144 was veteran Marge Landra.
By carding a 148, Gerry Quisenberry was fourth in the tournament that members say is one of the most prestigious of the summer season.
In addition to tying for tournament honors, Meyocks during the first day of play pocketed prize money for finishing closest to the pin on hole No. 8.
Also on the opening day, Wilma Smith was closest on hole No. 14. On the second day, Kay Davis was closest on No. 5, and Joyce Karnes won prize money on No. 17.
