Punt, Pass & Kick

The NFL Punt, Pass and Kick competition allows boys and girls ages 8-15 to show their football skills in punting, passing and place-kicking. Scores are based on distance and accuracy. The local competition will be held at 5:30 p.m. Sept. 17 at the multipurpose field. Ages 8 to 11 will begin at 5:30 p.m.; ages 12 to 15 will compete at 6:30 p.m. For registration information, call Parks & Rec, 474-5242, ext. 7.

Adult Coed Volleyball

Registration for adult coed volleyball will be held Sept. 2 to 13. Competitive and recreation divisions will be offered, with a four-team minimum for both divisions. Entry fee is $150 per team and includes an end-of-season tournament. Games begin Sept. 30 and end on or before Dec. 2.

Laughlin or Bust!

There are only a few seats left on our trip to Laughlin, Oct. 31 to Nov. 2. Choose between a single room for $75 or a double room for just $60 per person. Price includes transportation on an Arrow Stage Lines deluxe motor coach, three days/two nights at the Riverside Resort and Casino, one buffet meal and one "funbook." First-Grade Dog Obedience Class

Dogs four months and older accompanied by their handlers 12 years and older are invited to attend this class at Green Valley Park. The class meets from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. on Thursday nights from Sept. 20 to Oct. 25. Dogs must have updated vaccinations and a current license, as well as a collar and leash. A minimum of 8 and a maximum of 20 participants will be accepted. The fee is $35, payable at the Parks & Rec office.

Explore Kartchner Caverns

You'll be amazed by the pristine limestone cave filled with stalagmites and stalactites at Kartchner Caverns State Park. The $35 fee includes transportation via deluxe motor coach, park admission and a guided cave tour. Seating is limited to the first 46 people to sign up for each trip. Trips are planned for Nov. 28, Jan. 2 and March 26, and will be filled on a first-come, first-served basis. In the interest of fairness, we request that you limit group reservations to no more than four people.
