This is regarding the safety in the community involving the incident with an elderly customer being harassed in a local fast-food restaurant. We at McDonald's accept responsibility for this unfortunate incident.
Our McDonald's management team strives at all times to ensure the safety and well being of our customers and employees. There are times, despite our best intentions, unfortunate incidents do occur.
As a restaurant management team we first and foremost want to assure the community that we take accountability for what happens in our restaurants seriously.
During the past 20 days, when this incident was first brought to our attention, we, as a management team, have been working with the Payson Police Department to find this individual and seek justice.
With the cooperation of some civic-minded Payson youth and the McDonald's management team, this individual was brought to justice.
We would like to reassure the community that we will continue to seek justice through the sequence of events as they occur.
