Howard Grant Fisher, 72, of Payson, died Nov. 28, 2001. He was born Oct. 8, 1930 in Jerome. He was a resident of Payson for 26 years.
Mr. Fisher was retired from Gila County as a maintenance worker; he also was a detention officer for Gila County. He was a Korean War Veteran, a 30-year member of the NRA and a member of the Zane Grey Friends of the NRA committee.
He was a 20-year member and past president of the Tonto Rim Sport Club. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and shooting-sports.
Survivors include his wife of 47 years, Beverly; sons Brian and Brett; daughters Judy, Joyce, Janice; eight grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
Due to extended family not arriving until Dec. 23, a memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Dec. 29 at Payson First Baptist Church, 303 W. Main St.
