Teachers "A Creditto Their Profession"

Editor:

I recently attended the Rim Country Middle School Fall concert. During the course of the evening over 200 middle school students performed including vocal choir, band and bell choir. I have lived in Payson for over thirty years and it has been a pleasure to watch the quality of the arts improve over time, but especially over the last five years.

I commend Mrs. Goss and Mr. Buskirk. Their students were well behaved and well taught. Teachers such as these are a credit to the their profession.

Even the finest craftsman is at a disadvantage without good tools. Thursday night's bell choir and band performance were certainly evidence of this. The bells and many instruments were purchased over the last three years using Credit for Kids monies. Credit for Kids is a unique opportunity for Arizona taxpayers to invest up to $250 in the school program of their choice, then have that $250 credited off their state tax liability. I would encourage everyone to take advantage of this incredible opportunity.

Let us all continue to help our exemplary teachers such as Mrs. Goss and Mr. Buskirk to bring out the very best in our children, whether performing arts, academics or athletics, by financially supporting their programs with our tax dollars.
