Alice Hamilton


Alice Kathryn Hamilton, 79, of Payson, died Dec. 4, 2001, after a sudden illness. She was born July 8, 1922, in Burgin, Ky.

Mrs. Hamilton was a World War II Navy veteran, manager of one of the first resorts in Scottsdale, the Bunkhouse Lodge (now the Arizona Republic on Scottsdale Road), and retired manager of the Casablanca Inn in Scottsdale.

Survivors include, Deborah Chick and her husband, Tom Frantz, Ron Farris and Charles Hamilton; four grandchildren, Sarah and Matthew Chick and Reinie and Ronnie Farris; and two great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Hamilton.

Services were private.

Arrangements were handled by Messinger Indian School Mortuary.
