Two people were arrested in Mesa del Caballo Friday following a search warrant that was served on their residence by the Payson Police Department's special response team.
Damon Grey Ramey, 35, and Julie Louise Altstatt, 26, were arrested and charged with possession of dangerous drugs, possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia and misconduct involving weapons.
The police department's criminal investigation unit, according to Lt. Don Engler, developed information which led them to believe illegal drugs were being used and sold out of the Caballero Road residence, where three young children also lived.
"Many of those drugs were coming into Payson," Engler said, adding that the residence had a large amount of "stop and go" traffic.
Investigators seized a usable quantity of methamphetamine, marijuana, and drug paraphernalia, as well as firearms from the home.
Ramey and Altstatt were released from jail to a responsible person.
