Rosalie Williams, 78, died Dec. 29, 2001, in Payson.
She was born Oct. 3, 1922, at her grandparents' home a few miles southwest of Prairie City, Iowa to the daughter of Bert and Gladys Ruggles. Upon the death of her parents when she was 11 years old, she was raised by her grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Frank Waters of Prairie City.
March 27, 1943, Rosalie married Norman Williams and the couple lived in the Prairie City area until 1994, when they moved to Arizona. They had 53 years together until Norman's death in 1996.
Survivors include three sons, Alan of Prescott, Craig of Scottsdale and Gary of Perry, Kan.; six grandchildren; and a brother, Franklin, of West Des Moines, Iowa.
Mrs. Williams was preceded in death by husband Norman, a brother, Russell, and her parents and grandparents.
Friends may call after 2 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 3, 2002 at Walters-Coburn Funeral Home, 201 S. Marshall St., Prairie City, Iowa. Visitation with the family will be held from 6:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. Jan. 3. Graveside services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday, Jan. 4 at Hewitt Cemetery in Reasnor, Iowa.
