Roger Sanborn


Roger Charles Sanborn, 86, of Payson, died Saturday Feb. 3, 2001. He was born Sept. 5, 1914, in Mason City, Iowa and had lived in Arizona for the past 49 years.

Mr. Sanborn was a veteran of the U.S. Navy, having served during World War II, and a member of the National Association of Retired Federal Employees, Mogollon Chapter 1235.

He was employed by the Defense Department as an accountant and was also an accountant for the City of Winslow and for the hospital in Winslow.

Survivors include one daughter, Lynne and her husband, Elmer Grace of Payson; one grandson, Charles Grace of Mesa; and one brother, Sidney Sanborn of Monte Vista, Colo.

Memorial services will be held at 2:30 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 7 at the Powell House, 806 W. Longhorn Road.

Donations may be made to the RTA Hospice, 107 E. Frontier Street, Payson, AZ 85541.
