Bobby West, 55, of Payson, Ariz. died Dec. 27, 2000. He was born Feb. 6, 1945 in Alabama City, Ala.
Bobby served his country in the US Navy. After his term of service, he was a recorded musician, having written scores of original compositions of word and music. He roller-skated with a precision team, the Hunterdon County Flea Hoppers. He traveled the United States and Canada extensively. Bobby was an avid golfer and football fan. His first love was the Fraternal Order of Eagles and he was a member of both Sunnyslope and Payson. He organized the Aerie in Payson No. 4376 in 1996, and also was in the process of organizing the Aerie in Heber/ Overgaard. He was a state officer and a member of the Payson Ritual Team formed of dual members of Payson, including current and past State Worthy Presidents. And he was also a member of the Moose Lodge.
Survivors include sisters, Pat Grauser, her husband John and children Andrea Pesce and husband Steven, Samantha Sayman and Trisha Seibert of Trenton, N.J. and Peggy Bryant, her husband Jay and children Sharon, boyfriend Bryan and John Robert, of Payson, Ariz.; brother, Sam West, his wife Marilyn and children Kimberly Dawn and Nicole Frances, of Oakley, Calif.; great nieces and nephews, Jakey, Kayde, Thomas, Steven John, Alicia, Teron, Tyler and Caitlin; Uncle Freddie and Aunt Wanda, cousins Nathan and Meadows Pollard, of Albertville, Ala.; and girlfriend, Robin Carlson, her son Aaron and daughter Hollis.
The Fraternal Order of Eagles Ritual Team held a memorial before services on Saturday, Dec. 30 at Shepherd of the Pines Lutheran Church. A potluck was held following the services at the American Legion.
Interment will be in Attala, Ala. Arrangements were handled by Messinger Payson Funeral Home.
