Hugo DiZinno, 86, of Payson, died Jan. 6, 2001, at home in Payson. He was born Nov. 29, 1914, in Cleveland, Ohio. He lived in Wexford, Pa. before moving in 1979 to Arizona.
Mr. DiZinno was well known in Payson's art community, and he helped establish Art Group 12. He was a former president of the Arizona Watercolor Society; a member of the Payson Art League; a juried member of the Northern Arizona Watercolor Society and founded the No-Name Art Group.
Survivors include three sons, David DiZinno of Wellington, Ohio, Daniel DiZinno of Tempe, Ariz. and Paul DiZinno of Cabot, Pa.; one brother, Libro and one sister Gertrude, both of Cleveland, Ohio; and five grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Maria Dorothy DiZinno (nee Mandalfino), his parents, Joseph and Angela DiZinno, and his brother, Joseph.
A memorial Mass will be held at 10:30 a.m Saturday, Jan. 13 at St. Philip's Church in Payson.
