Elmer William Holsinger, 69, of Strawberry, died, June 28, 2001, in Strawberry. He was born May 17, 1932, in Rochester, Pa.

Mr. Holsinger moved to Arizona in 1935. He was a Navy veteran and served in the Korean War, where he received a Meritorious Mast award. He worked at Allied Signal as an aerospace industrial engineer for 35 years before he retired.

He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Pine and the Masonic Lodge, and he was a past president of the Pine-Strawberry Improvement Association.

Survivors include his wife of 50 years, Wiladene, of Strawberry; one daughter, Sheryl, of Phoenix; one son, Craig, of Avondale; mother, Mary, of Phoenix, one sister, Thelma, of Scottsdale; and four grandchildren, Alyson, Erin, Gary and Daniel all of Phoenix.

Visitation and services were held July 3 at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Pine Ward.

Interment was in Pine Cemetery.
