Dryer Arraigned; Pretrial Set For Aug. 27


Former Tonto Basin Cemetery Fund administrator John Dryer was arraigned in Globe Monday on theft and fraud charges.

The longtime Tonto Basin resident is accused of six counts of theft and two counts of fraud for allegedly misusing cemetery funds between June 1995 and October 1998.

Deputy Gila County Attorney Clint Sorenson told the court Monday that he has offered Dryer a plea agreement.

Dryer could not be reached for comment.

A pretrial conference has been set for 11:30 a.m. Aug. 27 before judge Edd Dawson in Globe.
